How we started and where we've come
2016
First teaching experiences and realizing we want to do things differently
Our journey began when we didn't have our own school yet – we taught at another ski school and gained first experiences. Even then we felt it could be done differently: with more respect, playfulness and joy, so everyone feels good on the slopes.
2018
Founding our own school
After getting the necessary courses, we decided it was time to go our own way. At eighteen, we founded our school and started the first seasons with huge enthusiasm and determination to do things our way.
2019
First years on our knees
The beginnings were very improvised. We arranged lessons literally from school desks, handled paperwork on the slopes and wrote documents on our knees. Despite all obstacles, we grew, the first instructors joined and the school began to take concrete shape.
2020
Covid season
One whole season didn't happen due to covid and the slopes remained empty. Instead of teaching, we planned what we could improve so the school would be even better after returning to the slopes.
2021
Own office and big advancement
Cooperation with the 'Dílnička pro šikovné ruce' project brought us our first real facilities. A year later we bought the entire project and could begin fully realizing our ideas. The school got solid foundations and moved to a completely new level.
2025
Team that grows and does things from the heart
Today our school is a place where children and adults learn to ski and snowboard in a safe, friendly environment. Every season we grow, improve services and add new instructors. Our greatest reward is clients who leave with smiles and happily return.
Who's behind the whole brand?
Founder
Adéla Kučerová
Ski School Sova is my heart project – my baby that I've been building since I was eighteen. I wanted to create a place where people feel safe, where teaching is playful and natural, and where everyone learns with a smile on their face. I want children and adults to fall in love with skiing and snowboarding with us and leave with a feeling of joy. I put my heart into everything I do – this work fulfills me and I know it makes sense.
But Sova is made up of an entire team of amazing people
Behind the brand stands an entire team of experienced and patient instructors and other amazing people. Each of them contributes their skills to make clients feel good with us and leave lessons with smiles. Without them, we definitely wouldn't be where we are today.
